Huge Progress Seen in Juniors

Whilst both our teams haven't seen the best start to the season all of our coaches are really pleased with the progress that the juniors are making.

Each week our boys and girls play against players who have been playing in teams for two, sometimes three seasons already. We mustn't forget that for the vast majority of our youngsters this is their first season and it's a very new experience for them.

Both teams managed to draw this week. The U10s managed to score three thanks to a hat-trick from Harry Turnbull. They were very unlucky to concede an equaliser on the stroke of full-time. Despite village rumour the referee couldn't have ended the game any sooner the whistle blew bang on 15:00 minutes and not a second sooner or indeed later!

The Under 9s put in a great performance away from home. Only the woodwork denied Owen Peatfield a hatful of goals but Isaac Young and Luke Adderley managed one-each. Again the boys were unlucky to draw but we're all pleased with our first points.
