A big thank-you to all who took part in our beat the keeper at Hayfield Cricket Club's 150th Anniversary. Between Carl, Steve and Peter we faced well over 300 penalties (felt like a thousand!) and we raised over £100 for the Junior Football Club.
The highlight of the day was our vicar, Hilary Edgerton, showing some grit and determination to whack one past Peter with just bare feet. The foot of God, or perhaps Eggy's comeuppance, one might say.
Thanks for Hayfield CC for accommodating us and thanks for every one who had a bash. We'll be doing it again at the village BBQ at the school on Friday 17th July. We hope to see you there.
